10" Beaded Shadow Box (Circle of Red Button Caps)

Carey Walker of the Hagwilget Wet’suwet’en Nation draws deep inspiration from the memories of her great-grandmother. It was through observing and honoring traditional beadwork techniques—particularly stitching on deer hide—that Carey developed a profound appreciation for her cultural heritage. This connection inspired her to innovate, blending traditional methods with modern materials and resources to create her own unique techniques. Expanding her artistic expression, Carey began crafting dreamcatchers and suncatchers, which have become integral to her growing line of handmade creations. Her attention to detail, creativity, and the authenticity infused into each piece have made her work both visually striking and highly collectible among admirers.
