Patrick Amos, a Nuu-chah-nulth artist born in 1957 on Nootka Island, west of Vancouver Island, is a member of the Mowachaht band, one of the fourteen bands comprising the Nuu-chah-nulth nation. His artistic journey began as a printmaker and designer, where he not only produced his own designs but also assisted fellow artists in preparing designs for serigraph printing.

In 1979, Patrick undertook an apprenticeship in wood carving under the mentorship of Tony Hunt Senior at the Arts of the Raven Studio, an establishment dedicated to nurturing and educating emerging artists. By 1984, he was carving alongside Tim Paul at Thunderbird Park, adjacent to the Royal British Columbia Museum.

Patrick's work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions, and he has maintained a longstanding association with the Royal British Columbia Museum, as well as various galleries along the Northwest Coast.
