Beautiful Small Bentwood Box or Gift Box

Clarence A. Wells is a renowned contemporary Pacific Northwest Coast First Nations artist, celebrated for his Haida-style paintings and intricate carvings. Wells was born in 1950 in Port Alberni, British Columbia. He spent five years at the Alberni Indian Residential School before returning to Prince Rupert in 1962. At the age of 15, he received a National Art Design Award, which marked the beginning of his artistic journey. He later moved to Vancouver in 1965, where he studied art at the Langara Campus of Vancouver Community College for four years.
