Butterflies

Butterflies is the third print in Trevor Husband’s series of pollinator prints, which also features Bee, Hummingbird, and Dragonflies. While butterflies are not commonly seen in Northwest Coast Indigenous art, they hold deep symbolism, representing transformation, renewal, resilience, beauty, balance, seasonal cycles, and spiritual connection. They also convey hope, healing, and the presence of ancestors or spirits. This limited-edition silk screen print, titled “Butterflies,” was handcrafted through the screen-printing process. It is the only edition of this design, with each copy inspected and signed by the artist. All trial copies have been destroyed, and the printing stencils have been obliterated.
