Since beginning his carving journey in 1977, Joe Johnny has honed his craft under the guidance of his uncle, Charlie G. Walkus, and other masterful carvers from Victoria to Alert Bay. Now, with decades of skill and passion behind him, he shares his artistry and dedication side by side with his son, Morris Johnny, in the vibrant community of Port Hardy, BC, continuing a proud tradition of creativity and cultural expression.
