Patrick Amos, born in 1957 on Nootka Island and a member of the Mowachaht band within the Nuu-chah-nulth nation, is a renowned Nuu-chah-nulth artist. He embarked on his artistic path as a printmaker and designer, creating his own pieces and aiding other artists with design preparations for serigraph printing. In 1979, Patrick began an apprenticeship in wood carving with Tony Hunt Senior at the Arts of the Raven Studio, which focuses on the development and education of up-and-coming artists. By 1984, he was working with Tim Paul in wood carving at Thunderbird Park, near the Royal British Columbia Museum.
Patrick's art has been featured in various exhibitions, and he has a long-term relationship with the Royal British Columbia Museum and several galleries across the Northwest Coast.
