Ron Aleck

Ron Aleck, an artist from Vancouver Island and proud member of the Few people are hereditary chiefs on both sides of 
their family; Aleck inherited both chief’s positions 
at his birth in Chemainus in April 1960. He is a 
member of the Pelakeet Band from Penelakut Island, 
just off Vancouver Island in British Columbia.  Ron created this stunning yellow cedar harbor seal carving in 1989. This beautiful vintage piece makes a fantastic addition to any collection, measuring 23 inches long, 6 inches wide, and 3/4 inch thick.
