He discovered his love for art at a young age and developed his craft with guidance from remarkable mentors like Tony Hunt, Stan Hunt, Richard Hunt, and his grandfather Henry. Encouraged and supported by his family, John’s creativity grew, turning his work into a calming, meditative practice that brings him peace and healing. Passionate about preserving and promoting Indigenous art, he works to honor his grandfather’s legacy and celebrate the cultural heritage of his people in every piece he makes.
