Gino Seward

Gino Seward, a member of the Kwakwaka'wakw people, was born in 1972 in Nanaimo. He started carving at the age of ten and has been perfecting his craft for more than two decades. Gino attributes his inspiration to carve to his grandfather, William Robertson, and his cousin, Jackson Robertson. He has a particular fondness for working with yellow cedar and is renowned for his profound and intricate carving style.
