Sheryl Tate, a resident of Port Alberni, is a skilled cedar bark weaver and jewelry maker. Originating from the Toquaht Nation Vancouver Island BC, and a member of the Wolf clan, she has honed her weaving craft over many years. Sheryl's lineage includes a succession of weavers—her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her repertoire features cedar bark hats, baskets, and various other items such as jewelry.

Sea Grass Loop Earrings - Sheryl and her mother harvest sea grass along the coastal areas where it grows in abundance. They carefully process and dry it to craft these stunning earrings, accented with a glass bead.
