Sheryl Tate, a resident of Port Alberni, is a skilled cedar bark weaver and jewelry maker. Originating from the Toquaht Nation Vancouver Island BC, and a member of the Wolf clan, she has honed her weaving craft over many years. Sheryl's lineage includes a succession of weavers—her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her repertoire features cedar bark hats, baskets, and various other items such as jewelry.

These stunning handcrafted necklaces showcase the beauty of natural materials and traditional artistry. Each piece features lustrous abalone shell, sacred Devil's Club, and carefully selected assorted beads, creating a unique wearable work of art.

The iridescent abalone catches the light beautifully, while the Devil's Club—a plant deeply revered in Indigenous cultures for its spiritual and medicinal significance—adds cultural depth and meaning to each necklace. The assorted beads complement these natural elements, bringing color and texture to the design.

More than just jewelry, these necklaces are cultural pieces that honor traditional craftsmanship and connect the wearer to the natural world. Each one is individually handmade, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.

Perfect for those who appreciate authentic, culturally significant jewelry with a story to tell.
