Sterling Silver Wolf Pendant Large

Trevor Angus (Tka'ast) Gitxsan underwent years of training at the Gitanmaax School Northwest Coast Art at 'Ksan in Hazelton, BC. He studied under Gitksan master carvers Ken Mowatt and Stephens and completed six weeks of jewelry training under Vernon Wilson. Additionally, he collaborated with Haida artist Shawn Edenshaw and Nisga'a artist Robert Tait. In 2013 and 201, Trevor graduated the Northwest Coast Jewlery Arts program at Vancouver's Education College, gaining expertise in repoussé and stone-setting techniques. He apprenticed with esteemed Gitksan jeweler Phil Janzé, focusing on engraving silver and gold jewelry. In 2021, Trevor was commissioned to sports jerseys for the University of Northern BC, making the UNBC Timberwolves the first Canadian university athletic program to feature a logo created by an Indigenous artist.
